I HAVE LEFT

If you have ceased membership of the Kingfisher Pension Scheme (KPS), it means you have preserved benefits in one or both of the following sections of the:

  • The Final Salary Section (or KPS-FS); and/or
  • The Money Purchase Section (or KPS-MP).

A bit of jargon: You may occasionally hear that you are referred to as a deferred member of the Scheme.

If you’re not sure whether you have benefits with the Scheme, you can use the services provided by PensionsLink who will be able to confirm if you had any benefits with either the Kingfisher Pension Scheme or Kingfisher Retirement Trust. All you need is your National Insurance number. To use please click here to access their search engine.

KPS-FS

This the final salary section of the Scheme (or KPS-FS). It closed to new joiners on 1 April 2004 and closed to future accrual of benefits on 30 June 2012. This means that with effect from 1 July 2012 it was no longer possible for members to pay contributions into the KPS-FS and build up more benefits.

When the KPS-FS closed, all eligible active employees were invited to join the KPS-MP and to have linked benefits.

Our scheme administrators for the FS section are Hymans Robertson, click here to access your personal account.

KPS-MP

This is the money purchase section of the Scheme (or KPS-MP). It is still open to UK employees of a company within the Kingfisher group that participates in the Scheme.

Our scheme administrators for the MP section are Legal & General, click here to access your personal account.
